Philosophical wonder woman

Let's face it, most movies about dancing pretty much stink. The plot is predictable, the dialogue is cheesy...  We all know the plot. There's the misunderstood person whose passion is to dance and they struggle, struggle, till finally there's an ending breakthrough dance & they hear from a parent or authority figure, "oh I was so wrong! I see now dancing is who you are and what you have to do!" Or the protagonist has poverty or some kind of tragedy to overcome, couldn't dance & then re-discoveres it.  Get a new plot already. Yet true dance fans endure that for those few moments of dance number bliss. I wish dance movies could be told entirely through dance, like ballets are in the theatre. Since I enjoy all types of dancing, I used to own You Got Served & would just fast forward through the talking parts... Until I realized I was mostly just fast forwarding. I used to be a big fan of Dirty Dancing... Until I really got into other genres of dancing ...

I have always been drawn to any TV show or movie starring and revolving around Super Heroines. In my youth obviously I was captivated by the Wonder Woman TV show starring Lynda Carter. Many hours were spent spinning & fueling the imagination with our adventures together. My grandparents had audio records of the Wonder Woman comic that completely captivated me. I became entranced with the idea of a woman super hero who didn't have to rely on men; she could rescue herself as well as others. I enjoyed The Bionic Woman as a child but not in the same way I looked up to a traditional Super Heroine (keeping with the league of many male characters). The 2007 Bionic Woman remake was enjoyable at first (especially because of kick-ass characters like Katee Sackhoff joining in). with all the talk around the movie Inception right now (which I hope to try to see very soon), I came across this HuffPost about sleep facts . I dream very vividly a lot of the time and one dream in particular was the catalyst to start writing a story that I'm about 12 chapters into. But I've hit a plateau with the writing even though I have the basic plot points outlined for the rest of it. Another creative dream could really be inspiring and motivating. So when I read this article, particularly this point below, it got me thinking I might try some experimentation: What can you do with your dreams? Plenty -- you can pre-dream. Try this: 1. Write down an old, favorite dream or experience in three to four sentences. 2. Add two sentences that remake that dream's plot you the way you want. 3. When I say "recent" I mean that I watched these recently... not all the movies are necessarily new releases. First off, hats off to Alisha for convincing me to watch Farscape . It is really some brilliant and entertaining sci-fi... I'm hooked and I've only just finished disc 1! My initial attraction to the show was that Muppets are used in it (but NOT the cuddly kind :) but all the characters are so unique and at times so very comical that I enjoy them all equally. I finally saw the original Time Machine from the 60s and liked it very much (what true geek COULDN'T appreciate such a significant sci-fi movie from our history?). Kind of ashamed to say I hadn't seen it yet... I loved that even though it was made in 1960, it still kept true to the timeline of being set in the year 1900. Needless to say after major references from The Big Bang Theory I figured it was time to give it a viewing. Considering the time period it was made, the time-lapse photographic effects and costuming, props, etc were all so terrific that it didn't have that campy-old-movie feel. But what I loved most were all the thought provoking questions... too many Sci-Fi movies made currently just go straight for the effects and really miss the mark on screenplay, dialogue and message (*cough* star wars eps I-III *cough*).
